The LBPA is a joint research unit (CNRS - Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay) based on the new campus of ENS Paris-Saclay in Gif-sur-Yvette, in the heart of the University Paris-Saclay. It is an integrative biology laboratory, specialized in studies at the molecular and cellular levels, with a dual approach, between the fundamental study of interactions and molecular mechanisms involved in pathologies and diagnostic and therapeutic applications. This duality is central to our approaches, with a constant objective to better understand living systems, biological functions and their deregulations occurring in pathologies, especially in the field of virology (equipped with a laboratory BSL-3 of 100 m2)
The LBPA is associated with the biology department of ENS Paris-Saclay and welcomes students on internships from bachelor to thesis.
The LBPA is also part of the Institut d'Alembert , an interdisciplinary institute of the ENS Paris-Saclay which also includes the laboratories PPSM, LUMIN and, SATIE.
